Malawian vocal genius, Kellz, wins My Booth reality show


BY PRISCILLA BEN - Music artist Joe Kellz emerged as a winner at My Booth reality show Season One in Lusaka capital of Zambia beating representatives from Zimbabwe and the host country in the battle that pitted 15 music talents from the three neighbouring countries against each other.


My Booth reality show led by Elation Entertainment started in May and registered 15 representatives from Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe with 5 representation from each country.

The rest were evicted remaining with five finalists who included two contestants from Malawi - Joe Kellz and Chisomo Chimoto, Zambia - Roy The songster and Evans Ndalama and Kudzie from Zimbabwe.

Eventually, Kellz and Ndalama competed in the final where the Lilongwe based and old Zanthu band member scooped the ultimate prize of USD 10,000 and a record deal of USD 50,000 as the winner.

The contestants shared one house, one band and one microphone to showcase their music talent for 5 months and earn viewers votes.

Elation entertainment is a Zambian-based pan African Record Label as well as an entertainment and talent management consultancy firm which is currently managing artists in Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
